Heinz, unfortunately, this all seems to be unavoidable RNG. At 382 Gathering I still lose fish which have a minimum gathering rate of 338+ ... I'm not sure why they made it this way, because there is absolutely nothing for us to do with the stupid fish anyway but to desynth it ... If the secret ingredient in coke was in there, I might understand, but swimwear ?? Give me a break. For all my reporting of fish caught, I have only personally caught two of the new ones, Olgoi Khorkoi and The Matriarch. Otherwise, I am 0 for whatever in catching anything else. They royally screwed this up. Stupid jumping through hoops to get the new rod, and stupid jumping thru hoops to catch a, for the most part, useless fish.

From what I read someone said one of the fish desynthed into grade 5 dark matter...so at least something useful? XD I like the swimsuits though and they go for a decent amount so it's still a nice way to make money even if you don't want one for yourself. I feel like a lot of the new fish are too weather dependent and have very small time frames. I tried to catch the Hannibal but by the time I finally got an HQ to mooch it with, the 4AM slot had passed and I got nothing I'll keep trying though, gotta make a hell of a lot of Spinach Quiches this weekend.

And I agree with you about the new rod. If you're fishing you're not gonna have much fieldcraft demimateria...I have to ask a friend who's working on desynth to help me get the rod items because theyre going for 500k - 1million each on my server :/

It was maxed out at 393. I'm gonna crank it as high as I can get it when attempting to catch these things XD

Ah, I was thinking something else (been fishing literally all day trying to find some of these, getting a bit tired lol). But yeah, I think the requirement for that one must be pretty high (I know at least 373 is enough, looking at the japanese website even 363 may be enough). Or I've just had horrible RNG. This new batch of big fish pretty much requires you to have the i70/75 rod and max melded gear. And food.
