Has anyone come close to completing the 2.3 fish log yet? Lately it seems the RNG has lightened up a bit and in the past three days I've caught 8 different varieties. Twitchbeard did get away today so I'm 0/1 on him... but he will mine before too long.

I finished yesterday around 4 pm CST, Terpsichorean being the last one I caught.

I have just one left to catch, the Iron Noose. Damn thing has gotten away 8 times. Other than that, it's just waiting for fog to hit....
I've been circling around the shrouds + Coerthas all weekend and every fish that bit has gotten away. My gathering varied between 352 ~ 369 (depending if I used a food) and they have all gotten away especially the Matriarch omfg. I'm up to 18 get aways without a single catch so far. This is getting so frustrating I just want to close my game![]()

So, I put all the info shared here into a spreadsheet that I could modify and update, then I updated it with information from http://na.ff14angler.com. Some of your time ranges are off by a bit according to that site, but I don't have an easy list in front of me. I have pretty tight min gathering ranges for a lot of the fish now, including exact numbers in places. It seems that they are NOT tiered, unless I misread some Japanese, since the minimum gathering requirement for Olgoi-Khorkoi is exactly 348, and for Thundergut it's exactly 349.

If you want to use it, you're welcome to make a copy. Just change the configuration values to change the highlights to see what fish you can currently catch. The "Int" column is just what fish I'm currently interested in for sorting purposes, and Mo# is just number of Mooches required. Best Bait for the moochable fish is the bait that has the highest chance to catch the base fish, according to the data gathered on ff14angler.
EDIT: Oh, and to whomever said stuff about desynth chances, all i80 fish have exactly the same desynth chance (which is 50% at 80 CUL dSkill and 85% at 100 CUL dSkill). All fish from 2.3 are i80 as well as a few from 2.2.

359 gathering is sufficient for Dawn Maiden - - also bites in Fair weather.
