Kicking FC memebrs that have a private chamber?

Glad I know my FC personally and can slash his tires and burn his real life house if he pulled something like that! I'm honestly not afraid of that for several reasons, but I could see where this could be a problem. The promise of Chocobo raising and a private room makes wanting to be part of a free company that much more of a hook to those who would take advantage of you. I think the large influx of spamming for company members may well be associated with this. Hope SE has a handle on this.

So I just came up an idea, maybe now members will be able to prevent being kick by having a chamber? ^^;

I really wish you had to pay a one-time payment of 300k. Basically pay for a "license" to even have a private room rather than the room itself. That way, if anything does happen regarding a FC, then you'll still have your private room "license"

Kind of like a permit that allows you to use it, regardless of your FC. Maybe they could limit the time in between using it so people aren't constantly jumping around FC's if that's their worry.

Currently it is not possible to kick players that possess a private chamber from free companies, but in a future patch we will be making this possible.

Gil spent on a private chamber will not be returned to a player when they are kicked from a free company; however, furniture that can be removed from the room will be stored with the “Resident Caretaker” NPC for a certain amount of time, and only the player will be able to retrieve them.

Why exactly was this tied to the free company housing again? All this is going to lead to is FC's locking ranks so pretty much no one can purchase one.

Man, why do I keep seeing people complaining about this or something similar? Are all of you part of really crappy FCs that don't respect their members? I'm one of the leaders of a FC, and personal chambers was one of the things we immediately opened up for our members.

Because like it or not, it is an issue. Its not just about dealing with trolls, its the simple fact that there is very little freedom on top of the fact that tying it to the FC house makes absolutely no sense. Personal housing should be just that, personal. Shouldn't be tied to anything.

Well like it or not, the personal rooms in an FC are fantastic. My company is just a small company with a few real life friends. We own a small little cottage in Lavender Beds and we're happy to have our own personal rooms now. We'll probably invest in personal housing too, but we don't really need it. Those will become more like vacation homes for us ;D

If anything, the personal rooms are a nice substitute for the people who either may not be able to afford personal housing (assuming it's expensive), or just to hold some over until it's out!
