QFT.Frontlines is the second big group content in this game that totally ignores the FCs. It is crazy.
There is absolutely not content at all that you can easily do with your FC and after CT this is the second time SE puts their head in the sand when it comes to FC content. Yes, we knew it was going to be GC vs. GC, but they could have made it in such way that they could choose if you wanted to play under your FC GC or individual GC.
i understand Crystal tower not being an FC centric thing, but frontlines not being tied in with free companies is ridiculous.
This info was well know months ago and now, days before implemented you decide to complain. Why didnt you make this thread when SE anounced how frontlines were going to be? Do you think that changing what they develop days before is going to be release is easy? Do you care about the story and lore they are working on? They develop a game and we just play it, if you dont like something dont do it or wait till they change it if they change it.
I have been making threads like this for a long time... and calling out Dev's specifically for clarification and etc., it has always gone unanswered/unresponded to.This info was well know months ago and now, days before implemented you decide to complain. I know I'm going to like Frontlines, I know I'm going to do it, I know I'm going to be doing it without friends as I'm over Rank 30 & am not willing to give up those 100's of hours I put in (neither should they), it's just sad I'll be doing it without my friends.
I don't think this should be the case so I'm petitioning.
It is an open-forum, it's a silly point to make "wait till they change it if they change it", if we don't speak up how are they supposed to know to change it or that we want it changed...
Great question!
If it's a mixed group of FC Members, FC GC Affiliation.
If it's all one or the other, whichever it is.
If everyone is both, two options for SE: either whichever queue is faster or Party Leader's personal GC Affiliation.

So if the FC has a somewhat equal number spread across all three, then the overall FC Affiliation takes.
If the FC is say Flames but most of the members are Adder, then the Adder takes.
I don't understand how the third could be an option if the first is as it reads, unless I am reading it wrong.
Is this assumption correct?
I can only agree with the OP on this topic. I think that any decision that prevents you from playing with your friends in an mmo is a bad one. The entire reason that I play this type of game is to interact with other people so I just don't see the point of forcing people to separate and play with strangers essentially. Also, if you change your allegiance to another GC you lose all of your current progress in pvp so that really doesn't feel like a viable option to me. In my opinion you should be able to play all types of content with people on your friends list or in your FC.
It could easily be worked into the lore with a little effort, allow people to temporarily become mercs for example. To me the lore surrounding this content is not that strong to begin with and it feels like every time they do something that a lot of players don't like they point their finger at the lore and try to act like it's impossible to change/work around when it really isn't.
Just out of idle curiosity. Let's say if FCs were taken into account, a scenario; I am a Adder. My Company is aligned with the Maelstrom. If I queue for Frontlines, am I an Adder or am I a Maelstrom?
Come on Square it's pretty easy to set up a "fight for whoever you want" lore wise with some mercenary plot-line and....done!
You could fight for your default GC or sell your sword/spear/axe to whoever you want.
I just want to know how one would avoid the "Everybody who's good fight for this faction" scenario.
That's one of the easiest things to balance with a mercenary system allowing anyone to fight for whoever they want.
As you say, you can be 100% sure not before long everyone will say I.E: "Maelstrom is the best PVP GC"....and people wanting an easy ride will all start joining Maelstrom....and so that GC queues begin to become longer and longer since everyone is trying to fight for one GC.
With a Mercenary system you allow:
- FCs or friends in different GCs can fight alongside.
- GCs balance itself out, when queues become long, the real pvpers will say "srew it, I want to get it" and can join asTwin/Flames mercenaries.
You can make some penalty like....IDK, you cannot get PVP achivements while being a mercenary or something.
Agree with above.
Moment of truth people, here's hoping they sneak this in... I'm gonna hate being disallowed to Frontline with many friends on Patch Day especially if not :/.
