They said more Egi(s) would come in first expansion when more skills for all jobs are added.

No new Egi's until cap raise, when other classes and jobs
get new skills too. ACN might get another carby that becomes
another Egi after doing a SMN quest. Or, like Ifrit, SMN may
get another pet thats exclusive that ACN does not get.

Ifrit is Summon III which is a summoner specific spell, Garuda replaced the blue carbuncle, and Titan the yellow.

The Ruby Carbuncle that Urianger uses is what Ifrit replaces. (Quick trip to any XIV DB site confirms this.) So while for us Summon III is unique, it will summon Ruby Carbuncle instead of Ifrit until it's flagged to do so, since Urianger isn't a summoner he's not flagged to pull out Ifrit.

I just hope that seeing how they like to reuse content, normal mode

(same thing - hard mode, same thing again, extreme mode) that they wont make the first 3 obsolete by replacing (this is an example only) Levi (gbye Ifrit), Ramuh (gbye Titan) and Shiva (gbye Garuda) instead of giving them different skills and usages, so we would end up using 6 different Egis as we please, and not being forced to use the latter 3 only..

Your playing the wrong game if you don't want archaic mechanics holding everything back, everyones got a set ammount of skills and all must be equal.
