Any reason pretty much every sword is now called a bastard sword? Seems like a pretty bizarre switch.

5 out of 17 (I excluded the GC weapons) really are "pretty much every sword".
Viking swords all day long!
Actually, it's only a small selection of daggers which have been changed to bastard swords, which makes sense since we're getting a dagger class and Gladiator had no real sense having daggers this long anyway.
Changing the gladius weapons to viking weapons, now that's odd.
It seems to be all the daggers that are changing both in name and appearance.
I'll bet we'll see them again in 2.4 reworked for rogue and ninja, since they'll be using daggers instead of swords.
Name and appearance changes. Seems they're removing daggers from the GLA arsenal, making them a separate class of weapons from swords.
Expected, since we'll be getting ROG in 2.4.
Yep. ROG for Rogue. What I expect at least.
Nuts, i liked daggers. Time to get some shortswords then.
Man... I almost read carnage sword as carnage scissors.

I suspect it's because those names are actually going to be the names of the RGE weapons along the way.
Please, of PLEASE let the Ninja relic be called the Chicken Knife. Homages ftw.
All daggers are being switched to swords, name and appearance wise it seems. I welcome the change as I like swords! :P I just hope all of them aren't ridiculous meat cleavers like Burtgang or the Relic.
i hope the new models of the swords look good.
curtana Atma is nice and all, but i don't like the glow animus has (nor am i going through atma hell again just for glamour)
