No more Vote Kick system

Nothing good comes from this. If someone goes Offline, no one votes dismiss. They all decline every single time, always. Then I have to wait 4 hours to do it again? Next time someone disconnects everyone else wants to stand around for 10+ minutes.

If I do my job in Amdapor and kill the White Magistones, someone runs in and aggros the eyes thinking I'm in danger or something dumb and I get blamed and vote kicked without ever saying a word. I'm sick of going through entire Expert Roulettes after a 30 minute queue on DPS just to have terrible tanks vote kick me for not understanding how the game works or queuing as a tank and having 2x MNKs in Brayflox that wanna vote kick me for pulling more than 1 mob at a time.

Can we just stop? Stop having vote kick. It makes me hostile and pissed off so much that I want to vote kick people right away that I feel might end up trying to vote kick me later. That's stupid. I shouldn't have to feel that way. Can we end this system?

This. Getting rid of it would do much more harm than good.

Problem is, the system seems to be abused far more than it is used for it's intended purpose. I mean how many time's have you been unable to continue a dungeon because someone went AFK for an hour, honestly?

I agree with the OP. Get rid of it.

before it was put in game it was quite common to have 1-2 people queue and go afk at the start of the dungeon and expect the rest to carry them through. that was very common and the exact reason people asked for it to be put in.

As the others have said, use the support desk. The Vote to Kick system is very beneficial and usefull at times, and yes it can be abuse. But as Naoki Yoshida said the GM's were informed to consider it a serious offence in cases where it's abuse and so far the results of that have shown that they do take it very seriously (as I've seen and heard so far).

To file a GM report go to;

[Main Menu (ESC) > Support Desk > Contact Us > Report Harassment]

Adding in one or two quotes such as;

"/p Lets just kick him guys, lol"

Would make the GM reports investigation quicker in discerning if you were kicked rightfully or not. All you can do is report it.

Rabid trolls that verbally abused the hell out of everyone and anyone, or did stupid things to get the party killed on purpose for the fun of it. People who would enter an instance and then go AFK for the entire run so you either had to carry them, or leave and re-queue. RMT bots. And the list goes on. We had to beg, and beg, and beg, and beg on hands and knees to get a vote kick system out of SE, and I, for one, do not want to go back to the dark times before it existed.

Dark times aren't over, they've simply changed. In many ways it is worse.

In ct one alliance had a ranged dps who wouldn't listen when they told him to stand on the platform at atomos. After three wipes they kicked him and we didn't wipe again during the entire run.
So yeah it is needed, but people should be aware that they can report ppl for vote kicking for no real reason

This is not true. I got vote kicked twice last night in CT (MNK here) which I purely run to get the Fuma set. It was the first time I've ever been vote kicked and for absolutely no reason at all. My dps was fine, although I did die once before Bone Dragon but that was pure bad luck and not grounds for a vote kick. My raid got to Dragon and I was then vote kicked. Pissed, I ticked join in progress and got back into the same raid and party. My party appeared surprised that I had been kicked and thought I nominated myself, which I'm pretty sure you can't do. They had wiped so I made my way back to my party and got vote kicked again.

I reported the incident to a GM and noted the times when I was vote kicked, although I didn't know who nominated me to be vote kicked. GM said they couldn't do anything as they couldn't find any violations of the terms of service. So yeah, people can abuse vote kick as much as they want and get away with it.
