Does Completing Animus Books Raise Your Atma Stats?

I just completed my first animus book with my SMN and the book said intelligence +2. I thought that completing the book would raise my intelligence by 2 but it still remained the same as before. Is completing each book supposed to raise your stats immediately or do your stats raise only when you receive your animus? Also, When you complete a book are you suppose to dispose of it before you purchase a new book?

It should raise the stat in question once you complete the book. It could be you are remembering the stats incorrectly.

Your right I looked up the original INT of my veil of wiyu atma and it actually did raise from 31 to 33 -__-

Na, just get a new one. The old one deletes itself. Disposal is more of the "I give up, get this out of my inventory" option.

If you mean the base weapon damage, I'm not sure. I completed my Stardust Rod Animus this weekend and all along I had forgotten to check if the base damage went up from Zenith -> Atma -> Animus.

It goes up between Atma and Animus, as a big reward for finally finishing your books. Sadly there's no real reward for Zenith -> Atma except unlocking the books. The ilvl increases, which should make LB damage for your group slightly higher (yay?) but the stats do not increase until you do the books, and the damage until you finish the last book and turn the weapon into the Animus version.
