That's the thing, people will use pet food every hour, unless each seed bag gives a substantial amount (unlikely) if they go with the standard 12 you can only harvest 96 with a small house every few days, a small FC of 16 players will only get 6 per player every few days when you can burn those 6 in a single day, now imagine a medium FC with a small house....

And doing this also locks you out from gardening other stuff.
