If it happens, it's usually in the early morning or really late evening oddly.

I apparently got an adventurer in need bonus as DPS a few days ago. I don't even pay attention anymore when I sign up for roulettes but hey, I was happy with the extra gil. :P

As a believer in multiverse theory, I know there is another me, out there, somewhere, as a DPS, enjoying tank/healer insta-queues and constantly seeing the DPS "adventurer in need" for roulette

It was a lie. If you had swapped to tank, your queue would have been faster :P

I've seen it before, but only on trials roulettes. I think a lot of people like to do those on tank or healer.

Personally I always go healer, since if I go DPS I'm almost guaranteed to get Titan HM with 2 healers who can't dodge.

Yesterday i joined story roulette as monk with dps role bonus.
It happen. It is just rare like Atma. Keep your eyes open ^^

I guess more and more are filling the Healer and Tank jobs dur the rewards, because I notice their queues are going longer, from instapop to about 2-3min wait. It means the rewards are working and adventurer in need can switch to anything. I got too dps in some rare times now.
