Server Populations

Is there a source to determine server populations? I'm on Ultros at the moment. I feel it's not very populated, and it's getting increasingly difficult to find competent groups for endgame content beyond dungeons. I'm looking to transfer to a more populated and active server. Thanks!

Hmmm... I suppose some people could theorize the server populations. Honestly though, I can't say how accurate they would be, simply because SE is never going to release official server population data as it would cause "server trending".

EDIT: From what I understand, my server (Balmung) is highly populated and many people have difficulty creating new characters on it.

I do not know how accurate they are though.

there is a site here that shows population but i think the numbers there are misleading.
it shows characters created not active players on a particular server.
and the feel of your server being under populated could come from 2 reasons:
1) its pre-patch boredom and people have little to do and log in less until the next patch and/or
2) it really is underpopulated.

look at how busy it is during the 1st month of a patch to get a better idea of which one it is

Ultros is possibly the least populated among the primal servers. Not surprised though, most of the good players transferred off to the higher population servers since our pugs are pathetic.

I'm on 2 different worlds and the numbers look wrong. Gilgamesh is one of the more populated worlds and Siren is like a ghost town in comparison yet the site is showing higher numbers on Siren...

It's sadly true. I shouldn't rip on other players, but our pugs are absolutely terrible.

Actually I remember an official FF14 page with the server populations listed but I can't for the life of me remember where it is. Although it might not be kept updated so it could be useless.
