As they used to say about Titan HM, the hardest part about the fight is managing the 7 adds. Players may not be RNG but they can certainly be random and occasionally exceedingly bad. And the DF that matched you with them was RNG.![]()
It's a JRPG. So randomness is definitely included when it comes to drops and a few higher level things. But I'd like to say it's definitely possible to enjoy the game without having to subject yourself to a particular grind. You can go about things casually and still be pretty decent.
Hammer Bros behavior is determined by RNG, among other things.
Wrong. It refers to mechanics controlled by the whims of the Random Number Goddess, may she always be praised. It's not the Random Number God, as some say, because no man could be as fickle as she is. Sometimes she sees fit to bless you with awesome rolls and great gear, and other times she decides that the guy that was laying dead on the ground for the entire fight should get something for his "efforts" (either that or you did something to piss her off that you had no idea would piss her off or she's having a bad day and decided to take it out on you).
What game, let alone rpg doesn't use RNG in some way? The only thing I can think of is FPS games, but deathmatch modes randomly spawn players so.
They could try... chess?
