    Turn 9 Questions

Just a thread to ask questions to experienced raiders regarding Turn 9:

    1. Which DPS jobs are the best/worst for each phase of the fight, and how much would you expect each one to achieve relatively?

    2. When does your position get recorded for deciding whether or not you receive damage from Lunar Dynamo? Myself and others have experienced that moving out of range a couple of seconds before the casting bar animation finishes still results in us getting hit by it. (could be lag, but just checking whether anyone has managed to move at the last second and not be hit)

    3. Are there any good tactics for handling positioning for the Meteor Stream air attacks. Do you get everyone to their own spot, or just have everyone disperse from each other?

(Thanks for the time. I'll probably add more as I progress, currently just getting to Phase 2 slowly)

    1. Well it's really dependent on the player on which DPS will be best/worst. In my opinion though, it seems to be easier to be melee in the first few phases and then a ranged dps in Heavensfall and on phases. It also depends on your strategy I'm sure. I've seen melee be the top dps as well as ranged be the top dps.

    2. My group generally stays in the safe area until the cast bar is gone. From what I've seen, the Lunar Dynamo animation is a little long but you can move into the "damage area" once the cast bar disappears. I'd say it's generally safer to just move out of the damage area over anything anyways, since anyone hit by dynamo heals Nael.

    3. We don't have any set positions, in my opinion, that's not necessary. As you do it more, I'm sure your group will learn the distances of meteor streams better and just move to the right places instinctively. I wouldn't say the aoe is necessarily large, but it's not small either. I'd just suggest getting used to the distances and determine yourself where to stand and when to move.

    Hope this helps.

    1) Having a BRD for the meteors (see 3) is a good idea, our MNK has issue with his buffs but I think he needs more training for the timing.
    2) +1 julliz
    3) Everybody has a spot decided before the fight.
