It seems this section of the forum has turned into the unofficial 'why i hate crafting' section but I want to change it up a bit.

Do any of you forsee a problem, especially with the game economy by allowing 1 character to reach rank 50 in all crafts if they choose to? Granted not everyone will want to do crafting at all, but it seems like if everyone who likes crafting (and it seems to be alot of the playerbase if you go by people crafting in Ul'dah or w/e) is able to reach rank 50 in all crafts that everyone will just make their own stuff and never have to buy anything from anyone else.

If you cap it so that you can only have 1 rank 50 crafting class and no others above lets say rank 35, you force specialization and hopefully help the economy and social aspects of the game out. Of course people could just create a new account to rank another crafting class up, but I still think it would head this potential problem off if they capped it now. If they waited to do it this will end up like FF11 where all the people who ranked up multiple classes early got to keep them, and everyone else was stuck with 1 crafting class.

This is just my opinion, soliciting feedback from other people. The more I think about it, all you have to do is create a new character to rank another crafting class even if they did cap it so I'm not sure how much it would help. It did seem to help on FF11 tho.
