I've been wondering if it's possible to macro Cover and Hallowed Ground together, so I take all damage from a party member, but am also immune to it? Thinking it would be useful for some random boss mechanics.

I think I can confirms that it works, you will be immune. I think better if you use some cooldown like sentinel/rampart/convalescence instead of HG. HG is your panic button, better to use in critical situations.
I think it's more "If I need to use Hallowed Ground right now, I might as well Cover someone too so that there are two invincible people on the field instead of one." instead of just deciding to waste Hallowed at some point![]()
Pretty much. Still not really sure what Hallowed Ground doesn't block though; I know things like Ifrit's post- nail attack aren't but don't know too many others. Is Twintania's Fireball covered, does anyone know?
Was watching my FC run some raids last night and was thinking this may be useful for keeping one of the healers alive while I'm panic covering myself.
Twintania fireballs? Um... probably. But you won't be covered from the facepalms you'll get in doing that.Pretty much. How many situations do you find yourself in where you actually needed hallowed, healer is in cover range, and the healer is about to take physical damage (as cover doesn't work on magic)?
Outside of a lot of dead dps and stomps are out of control on Titan or something it doesn't seem like a very common scenario.
Because fireball is a very minor move very early in a fight with a couple of very major points it could be needed when you're getting used to the fight.
just FYI Cover only work for Physical damage type. it does not work for magical Damage.
