What are Your Conditions to Commend?

I have 600ish commes on my main...and over 100 on my alt I seldomly play....so I get my fair share.

I am kind and helpful 90% of the time....but I'm also not afraid to tell someone where they can stick it if they're being a jerk/screwing over the entire party.

Typically, the more 'dickish' I am, the more commendations I get. (WTH btw?) By this I mean, instead of my like 1.5ish ave on 3 man content I get all 3. On primals, I'll get 6+ if I told the moron he was well...a moron. Again, normally I'm chill and go with the flow...but every now and then I bump into that real special snowflake I just can't tolerate and rip into them.

Like the tank w/ relic in AK that couldn't even be bothered to use party chat or full words/spelling, and instead would be like /s Wht here? (yes that's how he spelled and asked) asking strat for every boss. He ALSO seemingly paused between every.darn.pull to regain his TP to 1000....it was sure as hell not his MP because he didn't hold aggro on a single mob. (Which means he's not tanking....and slowing us down). And he died on the wall...and then wouldn't return to the party w/o being threatened with being kicked. The dps told me I was being a dick and I said, he has his RELIC, and didn't get the 'cleared map' achievement (one dd with us who WAS new did)....and I said, this means he's done this dungeon before, it's not new to him, and furthermore it's not my job to give him a 1-2 minute this is what you should do on each boss....he can do his own homework. I also said, and by the way, I've given him a 1-2 line strategy on each fight...which he did not read or exacute. The actual new player did. I even put up way marks, and marked mobs for him to know what to do/pull next, including spawning the tricky pulls he obviously didn't know about. So yeah, I'm pissy....I'm pissy because even with me healing and off-tanking for him, he STILL can't follow simple directions or hold hate, or not wake mobs that the blm has nicely slept for him (which a blm shouldn't need to do...but the tank really was this bad). BTW, right AFTER this we were on final boss...I put waymark in the spot most tanks tank it, he tanked it in the middle....I knew he would, I healed him through it until I knew we'd get the win...then I put fairy away and let him die. (because it's cathartic as a healer to kill asshole tanks on purpose...I just make sure no innocent lives are tangled in the mess)
I got all 3 commendations....after being outright called a dick. (this means the tank comme'd me too...wth?)

Meanwhile, there are primal roulettes where I basically solo heal, raise people 3-4 times, and we STILL win on the first attempt and I walk out with like 1-2 if lucky. I'm Nice as pie.
If I tell the moron who died 3 times 'No I'm not raising you again' I get 5+.

WTH?

I commend the person who did their job well who wasn't a dick. (again I am normally NOT a dick, my point above was more an 'I find it interesting' than a 'be a dick'=commes ....it won't typically work...I hope)

If you are a tank, and you pull a 'speed run' w/o asking...no matter how skilled you are, I will not commend you. (I'm perfectly capable of a Speed Run, I just like the common courtesy of being asked as a group first). I know the 'you could also speak up' point is often made when talking about this, but as healer I have at least 5 casts to do at the beginning of a dungeon to buff . I can cast or type...as speed is important to most, I always choose cast...esp since if you don't, tanks tend to run in w/o proper buffs. So I am relying on other party members to discuss while I buff.

As a DPS I mostly commend other DPS as long as they did alright. If the the Tank or Healer was really good I will commend him/her instead but as long as the run was alright then it's most of the time the other DPS who will get my commendation since most of the time DPS have it harder to get commendations as most people will commend the Tank or the healer.

I wonder how true it is that most people will always commend the tank and healer. I am almost always a healer when I use DF, and quite often I exit without a single commendation. I keep people alive, I holy like a crazy person, I'm friendly...but no mount for me yet ._.

I commend Tankers, and friendly party members that still take the time and explain a dungeon or a fight. Those ppl need to be rewarded with more than just commendations.

That's cool. Thinking only of yourself in a group of strangers will take you far, even if this is just a game. Just don't expect a comm.

It depends on my mood sometimes i give it to the cutest Miqo'te and others I will give it to the friendliest person and sometimes I'm just in a hurry so i pick a random person out of the group and give it to them ^.^

If it comes down to no one actually standing out but people failing with mechanics, then the person that I didn't really have to pay attention to during the run gets it. They're normally the one that was just doing everything right and wasn't causing issues. If everyone was awesome I normally propose that everyone gets one - Tank gives one to the Healer who gives one to DPS1 who gives one to DPS2 who gives one to the Tank.

Dps always get my vote, not alot of people know that damag dealing isnt easy as it look .

I just commend randomly..the only time i go out of my way not to commend is when someone is being a jerk.
