What are Your Conditions to Commend?

I commend to skill. I don't mean perfection(we all make mistakes, I've made my fair share), but being able to do your rotations correctly, rotate combo on keeping hate, etc. I get bored so I'll sometimes just start watching diff dps classes and see if they are doing correct rotation. If so, commendation.

I will never give a commendation just b/c someone said hi or cracked a joke.

I commend whoever is the friendliest. I don't care if they eat dirt the whole run if they're nice they've got my vote.
Although if nobody stands out as being friendliest I will then look at performance. And if everyone is a jerk then I don't commend at all.

I use reverse method, I kick out the one I don't want to commend first. but friendliness is important, such as basic greeting at beginning and end.
too greedy will get no commend too, such as darklight drop the ilvl 100 drg hit need. (we all works hard to get this item dropped, everyone should get equal chance to lot.)
ppl don't dodge AoE and repeatedly get hit get no vote.
ppl who purposely stand in lava and think "oh this is so trolling" get no vote. (please respect healer and their stoneskin...)

there are lots things to rule out ppl @@: but I always pick one to vote in the end.

unfortunately, as long as the brd play proper song during the battle will automatically get the vote... this is sad...

I play my drg a lot, but I did get lots commends tho...

I commend people that have good character names.

If I notice someone doing a good job (usually it'll be a healer since I'm tanking most of the time in solo DF stuff) I'll give 'em a commendation.

If there's another Lalafell in the party, they get special consideration.

Could be:

1. Competent tank (my usual/default choice)
2. Tank wasn't great but healer picked up the slack
3. Someone was unusually friendly or funny
4. Cool-looking character
5. Give it to the other DPS if neither the tank nor the healer impressed me

For me it's mainly who left the biggest impression on me. Or if someone fails a lot and the rest of the party are jerks to them I give them a commendation to make them feel better. It all depends on my mood.

Many factors. Some people mentioned the same parameters:

1- Healers doing DPS.
2- Good attitude. If we wipe, we'll try harder.
3- Communicative people:

Sometimes I get so desperate for people to communicate i'll give the commendation to the one person who said "hi" and "gj" because most of the time they'll be the ONLY PERSON who said something. So in other words, type like 2 words, u get that sweet commendation.

4- DPS that knows how to use his LB. (Or he actually uses it!)
5- People being able to take advice.

If I am a tank or a healer I will most likely commend the healer or the tank. If I am a dps I will most likely commend the other dps. That of course changes if someone is unpleasant or just really bad at their job and unwilling to take advice.

This is what I do, too. Makes the most sense for an all around good group. Everyone gets a commendation.

I'll usually go out of my way to commend dps who do good, and usually only healer and tank if they do exceptionally well.. but to be fair, it's situational. I gave a commendation once for a person who was patient and went out of their way to teach the whole group how to run a dungeon (Elezen bard who took us through Dzamael Darkhold in just her bikini She should get public recognition for good services to the community... not for the bikini, get your minds out of the gutter )

If I'm tanking it goes to the healer only if they keep me alive the whole run. If not it goes to the dps. If I'm healing it goes to the tank if he can hold hate the whole run. If I'm dpsing it will go to the other dps good or bad. Only exception to these rules is if a person who goes above and beyond. Like the dps who solo kills a boss
