What are Your Conditions to Commend?

I usually give one based of player skill or communication.

If your a tank and you run off at the beginning of the instance before i can Protect or Stoneskin your not getting it. If your a DPS that knows the job well and is actually making an effort to clear the dungeon then ill toss them a commendation. If your a healer and can keep a tank up while hes trying to speed run Brayflox in Duty Roulette i'd probably give you 2 if i could especially if they are in Darklight gear still.

There was a tank i was running with in Duty Roullette i was running as a dps at the time, he was really terrible with holding aggro even though he was level 50, so i gave him some friendly advice on how to keep aggro on large packs of mobs and he took my advice and used it. At the end of the dungeon i threw him a commendation for not being a jackass like most people act when you try to nicely give them advice.

Here's how I give Commendations.

If I tank, I commend the Healer
If I DPS, I commend the other DPS
If I heal, I commend the tank

I'm on my BLM 95% of the time. Which means the other DPS gets my commendation.
I also have a macro that I use at the start of a dungeon. /p Hello, just in case, please do not give me a commendation, I am over 500 :P

If a DPS stands out...then I'll commend the DPS. Tanking can be rather easy ( I am a tank), healing can be rather difficult but if the Healer is just healing, and no DPS, then a tank or DPS will get it.

If I have two dps that stand out...I randomly choose one.

I don't commend people who use annoying macros with sound effects in dungeons.

No matter how friendly someone is, how useful someone is, how well he plays, the second I hear annoying sounds coming from macros (or 'witty' remarks with a skill), no commendation.

Lol I will still use macros with sounds anywhere where some don't keep attention. and Hallowed ground with sound works wonders with my WHM friend that he has his share of fun with holy ^^

As for the commendations: I always give them, I go with the feel, or If everyone left too fast, the last one.

I really don't care about them, but I do my duty to distribute it before looting the last pieces.

If we went this far and done our task (no speed runners), everyone contributed well.

OH! Found out to whom I dont give: those who are rushy-rushy, just to get their myth and sol cap.

I've got this DRG with title Meat Shield, so I know he's a tank as well. He pulled those that I didn't.

Fne by me, you'll put more stress to me and healer, perhaps killing faster, but I prefer to enjoy the run, at a decent pace.

I don't give comms out much anymore unless someone stands out (in the good way). Good play, good activity, no ninja-afks, etc.

But roll Need on gear when you're rocking i90+ is instant DQ.
