What are Your Conditions to Commend?

Many factors. Some people mentioned the same parameters:

1- Healers doing DPS.
2- Good attitude. If we wipe, we'll try harder.
3- Communicative people:

Sometimes I get so desperate for people to communicate i'll give the commendation to the one person who said "hi" and "gj" because most of the time they'll be the ONLY PERSON who said something. So in other words, type like 2 words, u get that sweet commendation.

4- DPS that knows how to use his LB. (Or he actually uses it!)
5- People being able to take advice.

Just say "hi" and you'll be in the running :3 My friends and I have started running roulettes together as a group, and a good chunk of the time we'll have to DF that 4th spot. That person could be guaranteed 3 commendations, but if they say absolutely nothing, they do not get my vote. I require so little to be happy....just give me my "Hello!" dammit. ._.

Might someone be able to explain the reasoning behind why you won't give a commend to ppl who don't say "Hi" at the begining of a run?

As someone else said, it's just basic courtesy. We're playing with live people, not NPCs. While I'd love to always be grouped with fun, chatty people, that rarely happens and so I'll settle for a basic greeting.

The above plus BRDs who use Requiem, rather than sitting on a full MP bar the entire run. Even if it's just the healer doing magic damage, still use it.

The DPS lbs when its full; that alone gives auto commend regardless of how they act i hate fighting and killing bosses or large mobs and no one uses the LB

So when that doesn't happen for healers if they dps and keep people alive which is in most df runs i do they get my vote but if they straight heal and don't debuff afflicted players then nope

then comes the tanks, you gathers those big mobs you take the hits like a tank should then you get my vote.

I always commend the dps unless the tank or healer were exceptional. If the dps sucks and/or doesn't take advice I'll commend the best player.
I rarely don't give any commendation but if the run was in shambles or everyone was a dick then no one gets one.

I go into DF intending to commend the other dd because I appreciate their role in the party, especially if they're really good at their job.

If I notice that the other dd isn't maximizing their dps with buff abilities (heavy thrust w/dragoon is a big one) or trying their best then I'm inclined to commend the tank, because they have the hefty task of leading and good tanks deserve commendations.

I do also commend healers from time to time- they are important and needed, and I love them! I guess it just varies in each individual party. Communication is nice, but I don't really need that in the DF. I watch the way that people are playing their jobs.
