What are Your Conditions to Commend?

1) If the healer deals dmg and is doing his healing job good too, he gets it
2) BLM with good aoe skills gets it
3) other good dd's get it
4) the less worst player

Sometimes if every1 was the hell to play with nobody get's it and it'll be lost (for example my last amdapor run, where i said i open doors as tank, because nobody wants and then the drg+heal open a door. Drg first time, heal said he didn't read... Whole run took ~ 40min.)

1) Melee who limits at the appropriate times.
2) Healer who shows the ability to swap between offense and healing when they are supposed to.
3) Tank who pops CDs appropriately (you'd think this would be common sense...).

I roll a 4 sided die and pick depending on that.

Since this game is all about RNG anyways.

I think I'll grab a 20-sided die. 19 chances to not get a commendation sounds about right ^^

I pick whoever is nicest if I can. (If I feel talkative enough to say Hiya at the beginning of the run, next person who says hi and doesn't suck gets it. :P)

Failing that, I'll pick someone that does a little more. Healers that DPS, DPS that drill down whatever is punching the healer when the Tank is otherwise occupied, stuff like that.
And if nothing else, I'll default to a healer or a tank (whoever did their job better.)
If everyone else sucked, or pissed me off somehow, nobody gets it!

Here's how I do commendations:

1) if somone is chatting or spamming emotes during the run then they'll get it.

2) if it was a silent run then i'd give it to the first player saying "gj guys ^^" or something like that at the end of the run.

3) if non of the above applies then I'll commend somone if they played noticeably better than the rest.

It could be a wrong approach to using commendations but that's how I do it.

I want it for the seals too. However, I'm not so douchey as to deny the rest of the party a fair roll on it. In the end, don't care, but just means they don't get a comm from me.

Exactly. Im rolling. Forget all that douchey nonsense. If someone can need they'll need.

If someone makes me laugh, they'll get it. Most of the time I'm so nervous about going into a dungeon that I really appreciate someone who is lighthearted. Outside of that, I will normally pick based on how well someone did their job especially if they're new. If everyone was around the same quality, I'll choose to give it to another Roe or an Elezen if there is one of either because they're pretty scarce on my server.

Lets see...

Tanks - If they can establish hate easily, hold it well, use cooldowns as needed to make my role, whatever it may be, easier.
Healers - If they keep everyone alive well without extreme values of overhealing, toss out some extra DPS when everything is alright and theyre clear to.
DPS - When they kill things without halfassing rotations, don't complain if i have to wiggle as tank to dodge AOEs, and are overall respectful of the other roles.
All - Respect is a big thing for me, so when the party respects one another and doesn't just cuss each other out over 1 tiny mistake, then i am willing to commendate someone. Then i use my judging criteria from there on to decide which i felt deserves it most.

If someone says "let's run this fast" they're definitely not getting my commendation XD
I give most of the commendations to new people and people who actually say hi and say something at the end.

It's a little diffirent for me. It's not so much that i Commend good behavior, i punish bad behavior.

If someone is a pleasant person, i will Commend them. If someone is agressive, rude, unsocial, made a weird comment or in any way shape or form offended me, they're out of the selection.

Chatty social people, perfect, you're getting Commended. If you can make me laugh, you're #1 in line for getting Commended.
