Setting off T8 landmines with fairy?

Currently my group is on T8. We have 2 dps and the MT (solo tank) set off mines in their designated areas. Healing seems to be a bit hectic during this mechanic. I was just wondering if someone knows if a scholar can use the fairy to set off landmines.

I absolutely hate when Eos gets hit with a mine. She usually gets knocked in front of the boss then boom-pow-surprise! Laser in the mouth. I eat the mines myself or our tankier DPS (Monk/DRG).

The one thing I would say is that there is more time than you think for the mines. If the people in charge of detonating don't think they need to detonate them as soon as they possibly can it can make things go smoother, also make sure everyone not in charge of the mines knows a safe place they can stand til the mines are disposed of. Usually right under the boss is a good spot.

Thanks! I'll keep this in mind. I have our MNK and DRG handle the back half of the room and the MT handle the front. I assigned the two dps their own healer. Problem is the MT or a dps died here. It's probably a tank CD issue but I'd like to know how other healers handle this mechanic.

I'm thinking we should have SS/adlo on the two dps on mines and possibly the MT.

We have only spent a couple hours on the fight.

Whenever possible, our solo tank (PLD) gets all 3 mines (when they're in front of boss or not too far to the sides). When we have mines on party side or very far to sides, our 2 BRDs pick them (a BLM is a backup in case a BRD has allagan field).

As WHM I cast medica 2 when mines are about to pop. I always have regen on main tank and sometimes cast it on the BRDs as well. If a DD gets only one mine, they don't require immediate healing (next thing hitting them will be defensive reaction and there's plenty of time between mines and that). So I mainly focus on healing the MT who's getting hit by boss and eating the mines. I use cure 2s on MT here and if he's getting more mines than 1 he'll make sure a heal has landed before he's going for the next one. If a DD is getting more than 1 mine they'll need to get cure 2 between them too.

Most important thing is communication. Our mine people always say on TS which mine(s) they're getting so us healers will know if someone is getting more than 1. And if someone is getting more than 1 they shouldn't rush through them but wait for some heals to land in between.

It's funny that Faeries get affected by whatever is on the ground, like the gooey stuff in Toto-Rak that gives you 'Leaden' and even take fall damage but nope, can't use them here. Guess they are smart mines...
