Question about special fan fest in-game items

Since there will be limited locations & limited availability for the fan fest events, do the developers plan to make the items given out at the fan fest available to other players at some point, or in some alternate way? I'd love to make it to the fan fest, but it's on the other side of the country, and as a result the cost to attend would be too high.

I doubt it. The never did with FFXI fan fests.

Personally i'd welcome this. Much like the Cactuar Earrings and the Bomb Earrings that were available to everyone due to a set number of completions of Titan at a event, but i doubt they will.

If history serves me correctly, FFXI had people with unique Moogle Shields, Wands and other similar things walking around who attended something hardly anyone in the world could attend except for an elite few.

If they even -have- unique items, be prepared to never see them unless you actually attended said event. (I know, unfair to anyone not living a few miles away from the location, despite there being several other continents in the world)

They said everyone who purchases a ticket will get an in-game item. However, they didn't say whether or not you actually have to attend the event to claim your item. That said, the tickets cost $120 each ... Which is quite a big price to pay just for an in-game item lol

The ingame bonus is a nice reward I guess but I think something tangible would've been more appropriate.

Each Fan Festival ticket bearer will receive a select number of goodies at the event, including an in-game item (details to be announced later). Please note however that these items will not be shipped and can only be received at the event itself.

There will at least be a T-Shirt. This is info taken directly from the "Teaser site" post on the Lodestone:

The form asks for your preferred T-Shirt size, however this is not a guarantee that the size will be available for all apparel available at the event. It also does not guarantee that T-shirts will be distributed to all attendees.
