    DPS check for turn 8?

    What's the reasonable amount of DPS for all DD classes in t8?

    Currently, we're hitting phase 3 at 7 min and 30 seconds and I was told that's not good enough to kill it within enrage.

    Our MNK was able to shine the best at 340+
    DRG barely hits 290, same for both of our SMN.
    Our BRD however only hits around 220.
    Keep in mind everyone has i100 weapon, except one of the SMN and BRD (i95)

    Herp derp I post on the wrong forum, GM please remove this if possible.

    With i90 gear my drg pulls about 280-300 on t6 (a fight that's pretty movement intensive). Not sure what your gear levels are but that seems exceptionally low for all classes. IIRC the bare minimum for beating enrage is party dps of 1650. I think to be safe all 5 dps need to be close to or over 330 dps.

    Your bard dps baffles me...why only 220. They are probably doing something wrong with their rotation.

    This is something that I can't even answer, though we will definitely try to figure out the problem later in the week.

    same for me. in an ideal fight on brd, i typically pull 323, and thats ilvl98.

    unless the drg is grabbing towers or eating mines, he should be a lot closer to your mnk. brd really depends, but should be higher overall. just have to factor in songs needed.

    boss has 999,996 HP, you have 11mins to clear it.

    999,996 hp/660 sec = 1515 hp/sec

    so you'll need a combined group dps of at least 1515 to clear it.

    edit: ok my math is wrong, didn't take into account dreads, dude above me explains it better.

    The boss has 999,994 hit points. Assuming your DPS is low you will have 4 dreads each at 30k a piece. That's a total of 1119994HP that must be down in exactly 11 minutes. That's 1697 group DPS required to win. Tanks do like 40% at best the DPS of a real DPS class. So assuming you're doing the single tank strat that means you have about 5.4 DPS if I'm giving the tank a lot of credit. Every DPS must do a minimum of 314 by that math. More is obviously better and honestly you should assume the tank is probably doing less than what I just ran the numbers on. If you can skip the 3rd dread then that number comes down a bit.

    This turn is awesome since it's so easy to run the math on.

    Well after the deefnsive towers pop their AE raid damage is none, so one healer can focus the tank for a while for the SCH to drop into cleric stance and throw some dots on Avatar, pop an int pot before dotting to help push a bit more DPS out. Get everyone stocked up on potent poisons also and spam on the boss everytime they are off cooldown to squeeze even more DPS. Party should be stacked close enough to use them.

    When you factor in two limit breaks, you need roughly a combined dps of 1650 to win with 5 seconds to spare.

    You'll also have an LB3 and an LB1. If you hit the enrage timer work in Poison Potions and Stat Potions. Poison Potions alone will give you 11,200 damage if everyone spams them. And if there were any deaths when you hit enrage try getting to the same point without deaths. The DPS check can usually be overcome with potions, better food, and less deaths. Also, make sure your Bard is using Foe Requiem right before the initial pull.
