To me, a "main" is what you play most and what you are best at.

Eh, someone may be forced to mainly play as class because that is what his static needs at the moment. Doesn't mean he may love that class. For the two weeks I farmed atma I did it with BRD because that is what I felt comfortable for that particular content. I usually do beast dailies as BLm because I like mass sleeping what is bothering me. I queue on roulette as a tank but that's mainly because of instant queue.

I leveled all the classes at the same time and mainly through dungeons. I didn't call any of them a main back then. I would jump from one to the other depending on my mood and looking back to it is when I had the most fun with the game. Rarely would I get bored because it was always fresh. The further I go into endgame now the more I have to cut on the classes I play as in gearing them now is harder. This atma/novus bullcrap is forcing me to marry one class even harder since I would never consider going through it again and all the myth I gather goes towards it instead of buffing up my other classes. When I'll enter second coil it will be even worse since it will lock all the classes for the entire week not just one class. For me it feels like it's going downhill now that I'm forced to have a main.
