I have:
1 Main char 2 alts

The Main char until recently had its main job Dragoon. I switched to Bard as main. In gearing up I put equally thought in any of my classes.
What do I play most now? Roulettes: Tank. Fates for Atma, Warrior on anything that lets me do overpower and Bloodpath, Bard on the rest.

RP? Warrior. When people try to include me in nasty eRP and I want them to get lost Dragoon, somehow "these" kind of guys are more afraid of a bladed pointy stick than anything else.

How do you define "main job"? Is it the job you play the most? The job you enjoy the most? The job you play the best? The job with highest item level? These can all be different for one player and one character.

I play WHM in coil 2 and it's my highest item level job. SCH is my second highest item level job but I almost never play it. Outside of coil 2, what consists most of my play time, I usually go as BRD. Lately I've used PLD every chance I get. I guess I would still consider WHM my "main job", but for me it sounds like the job I do everything with, or spend most time on, and that couldn't be farther from the thruth.

Concept of having a "main class/role/job" comes from raiding and the limited amount of drops to divide between the raid party. Obviously it would be counter-productive to allow everyone to roll equally on every bit of loot. Outside of that, the concept of "main class/job/role" is just preference of playstyle.

How do you get a class/job to 50 in just 2 days? I'm struggling because I want to lvl WHM and PGL and that info would be awesome to have, or it's just with FATE grinding?

The experience bonus is enough after your first level 50 that subsequence gained it much faster. Almost each time I ran a dungeon I'd gain two levels. I remember thinking one thing was holding me back from zooming to 50: DF queues as DPS. So I'd suggest looking for at least 1 healer or tank who wants to do the same, and queue for a string of dungeons with then, taking breaks for job quests burnout etc.

No job, No social life (outside of the game), willing to either play sitting on the toilet or wear diapers, have stockpiles of instant food and water + water cooker in your room, have tons of low level quests open to get exp boost, do each and every haste once for exp boost, do everything from challenge log that gives DoW DoM exp, have DoH so you can make your own HQ gear and repair it to safe gil, do dungeons and fates, have one Dow or DoM on 50, have a rested bonus from staying 30+ days in town so you can level 1-43 with a fixed 100% exp bonus. Heat of the Battle from FC, food for 3% exp buff

source? I did it, 2 levels per dungeon? only if i was like 100 exp away from level up 1 and got massive exp with bonus from a first time runner. 140k exp for tanking iffrit? yay .. how many level usp did i get? 1

Already going to start having to buy non BiS slots for classes. (war, monk, smn, blm, and sch)

Make sure your completing as many challenge logs as you can on the character. Do all your guildhests once. Do your hunt logs.

The monk will take longer due to crappy queue times but the WHM... You should get near instant queues and be getting a couple levels an hour except during the slow levels (mid 30s the dungeons are few and far between and kinda suck for exp)

People use terms in this game however they want, whether they're right or not. I tend to agree with you, I never had anyone in WoW say something like "they're both my main spec". Main spec typically referred to what loot you would roll on with DKP, if you were REQUIRED to heal to make the fight happen you wouldn't be punished by not being allowed to roll on main spec gear. It was the class you wanted to gear faster. That doesn't necessarily apply to this game because of the loot restrictions though I guess.

The ONLY way it is possible to have 105+ as a fresh 50 after a couple of days is to have another class at 50 that has set up the gear for you weeks in advance. And even then if that gear-set was i90+ from the get go, gaining that other 10+ ilvl will take at least a week if you don't have the soldiery already saved up to dump on gear.
