Frontlines - FC GC Affiliation counts or no?

The last update we had on frontlines:

Chat channels
While participating in Frontline, certain chat channels will be restricted.
-Tell/LS/FC chat channels
It will not be possible to use these chat channels as we would like to prevent players that are in different Grand Company groups from leaking information such as player position, job setup, etc.
-Say/Yell/Shout chat channels
These chat channels will be available for use while in Frontline; however, only your group will be able to see it.
Queuing
As long as you are part of the same Grand Company, you’ll be able to queue up with others.

Well, it says 'As long as you are part of the same Grand Company', so your FC doesn't matter. You are not your FC, and its GC affiliation affects you in no way (especially since this is a PvP mode, which you already should know your GC doesnt affect your affiliation with).

It doesn't necessarily follow that FC GC affiliation won't be taken into account. That line of text doesn't exclude the possibility.

@Baneus, I know, it's just... that doesn't answer the question in this thread.

It sort of does; that you cannot use FC chat while in frontlines to stop FCs from communication positions etc pretty much confirms that you will not be able to queue with FC members if you are not in the same GC. Now I know a lot of people will go the route of "but they didn't definitely didn't post it", but that's just wishful thinking.

I think limiting FC chat just adds more advantage to organized FC with Raicall or similar.

Frontline is a new PvP challenge which engages three teams of adventurers, each team representing one of the three Grand Companies.

It's clearly been actively promoted as a GC based activity. FC has no play here. You cannot queue up, if you're not part of the same GC. This has been confirmed. If FC aff had a role to play, you would be able to queue up regardless.

You're technically a part of whatever GC your FC is a part of since you're a member & they pledge to a GC just like a person. Just like how a corporation is an entity.

It doesn't necessarily follow that FC GC affiliation is excluded.

My question has not been answered or you'd have legitimate proof.

Look at it this way: you join a GC of your choice. You actively interact with that GC throughout the game, and you're 'clearly' tied to them.

Your GC picks a FC that they're 'allied' with. The FC never interacts with that GC. They never help that GC, or contribute, or even so much as speak to.


Which do you think actually matters?
