Make Healer Stance Chocobo's stand further away.

While I know it may be too much to ask that they dodge attacks, it seems appropriate to me that Chocobos who are healer stance, act like healers, and keep distance between them and mobs. Having a choco right behind ya means that you hafta overcompensate dodges to keep him from getting hit. Maybe even a "stay" option, like you have with pets.

Anyhow, just a thought. I'd be more apt to solo Alexandrite maps if I didn't hafta worry about resummoning my healer choco.

Yes! My healer choco keeps constantly getting bad breathed by Morborols. I take one look at him and sigh. "Don't follow me if you can't dodge the aoe cone you dumb bird."

I try to position her other then the front of the mob, but the damn bird is obsessed with me. Pet commands would would be great!

Agreed, a place companion command would be much appreciated.

When you change the chocobo to healer stance, they should stop moving completely and only move if you run outside their healing range.

While I'm here, change chocobo medica so it doesn't completely suck. AoE 200 hp heals at level 50? Really? Chocobos take up an actual party space. There's absolutely no reason why they should be so gimp.

I always thought they could fix the whole companion issue if they copy some features from summons, treating companions like another summon instead of taking a party slot and add a force-withdraw upon entering a duty.

Yes! I dont even bother putting mine in healer stance anymore because anytime I do it gets itself killed to aoe. At least in free stance I can turn what Im fighting around to face away from my chocobo, but in healer stance it just follows and sticks at my side

How about auto-dodge for pet/companion LOL

Come on, its not overpowered, its logic that they see a danger coming, they should DODGE

...or we can have a /place for our companions similar to pets. In fact I don't see why we don't have commands similar to pets. If Yoshida keeps telling us that its more beneficial to have a chocobo as a party member instead of a pet I fail to see the point because as it stands I have far more control over my pets than my chocobos. I can't even get my tank build chocobo to attack first and establish hate before I attack. The chocobos are pretty lacking in that regard.
