    Unwanted coil t7 loot

I think it's a big disappointment for "better" players that CT will drop unidentified allagan tomestones at start. Nobody in our raid even wants to loot it anymore in T7 and CT doesn't bring anything for such kind of players. Why can't you exchange the stone for anything useful? oil, sand or even company seal would be better than this usless 10+ dropped stone... My oppinion is: if you can't beat T7 you shouldn't get the weapon, since you can farm Novus if you that bad.

    Comments are welcome.

    You sound entitled and elitist.

In essence, you deem yourself fabulous because you have a T7 weapon, and anyone who's not in T7 is horrible. You also state that anyone who is going for Novus must be horrible.

Is it wrong for the Skilled and Experienced to want to be rewarded for their continued efforts?

Or should I tell my Car insurence company I dont want my good drivers bonus cause other people cant drive.

I'm more curious what the heck we're gonna do with the unidentified Allagan tomestones. People aren't going to want to dump 1300 soldiery for i100 weapons after one or two. I'm sure most statics already have one for all their members. Would be nice if they had another purpose.

The people doing second coil ARE rewarded. You're rewarded with free Sands and Oils of Time to upgrade soldiery gear to lvl 110. You're also rewarded with free 110 gear via High Allagan. You're also rewarded with "the best weapons in the game," ala the T9 weapons.

How does CT2 dropping one item to allow people an alternate route to a 100 weapon negate the rewards you get in T6-9?

It doesn't, he wants to feel special for doing coil. Apparently having 2 distinct i110 gear sets and BiS weapons isn't enough to give him that special snowflake feeling.

The only people disappointed by this are selfish types who have no consideration for the long term health of the game. Also, it's not community driven. If you bothered to read between the lines when 2.2 got released it was pretty obvious they always planned to do this. In fact i'm more inclined to think that adding UAT/Sands/Oils into coil is more an afterthought than adding them to CT2 and Hunts. Put that in your pipe and smoke it: UAT/Sands/Oils are basically in coil to keep you grinding it like a hamster after you get some HA. They're not there so you can be exclusive, as much as that thought might resonate with you.

Well yeah if you're running coil their usefulness is diminishing as you get HA and Gerolt's right? Seems like a perfect time to give other people access to them IMHO. I'll probably only make one, Rosenbogen if I manage to get a UAT, my WAR will have Novus soon enough.

It's the "you're not allowed to have it" mentality. They think everyone who can't run second coils is bad... I've seen plenty of players with second coil gear who are so bad... Second coils just means you have the time to sit and wait for your static for raid.

These people will always exist, and I'm glad SE realises that there are more types of people who play this game. Most are families, lots of husbands and wives.

No. Not really. As much as it pains me to say it.

However, you'll get Ramuh EX, Hunts, and Brutal Coil. Please look forward to it! 2.3 is squarely aimed at more casual players, expecting raiders to be spoilt like they have been with Coil2 every patch is pretty laughable really.

As MNK I don't want the 110 weapon from coil 2 thankyouverymuch. I prefer to finish my crit/det Novus which would allow me to wear BiS for the HA weapon without having redonkulous amounts of acc from the Gerolt weapon If you as good as you think you are, you would be doing Novus over the 110 from second coil due to customisable secondaries.

Agree, even though I run second coil I think it's a perfect time to open up more progression paths for the rest of the playerbase, but then again, I outgrew the mentality of worrying what others have/don't have and run raids for the friends in my static and the fun of beating said content.

More options over time keeps the rest of the playerbase playing, which keeps them paying, ultimatelly keeping FFXIV alive and strong, win-win.
