And a Paladin may be your PAL, but the abbreviation is actually PLD.

Annoyingly, the abbreviation for Gladiator is the outlier with GLA. Where's mah consistency?

This may be a holdover from us 1.0 players. Pugilist used to actually be PUG. Lots of weird ones. LTW was TAN, Botanists was BOT, Goldsmith was... GLD? I can't remember.
