So What are your favorite games?

So let's share some of our favorite games and see what other genres and types of games that the FF14 community likes. Please no flaming other games as this is all our personal opinion. Try to keep it within 5 games. I'll start with mine.

In no specific order:

3. Final Fantasy IX
4. Bioshock 1
5. The last of us

Honorable mentions: Valkyrie Chronicles, Zelda Ocarina of time, Final fantasy VI, Shin Megami Tensai Devil's Survivor

Recently I've been playing:
- Thief
- Civilization 5
- FTL

I played FFXI for eight years (2004-2012) and have dabbled in AoC, SWTOR, Warhammer Online, LotR, Eve Online. Last year before XIV I was playing DotA 2 a lot.

All time classics (showing my age here):
- Thief: Metal Age
- System Shock 2
- Homeworld 1 and 2
- Final Fantasy VII
- X-Wing/Tie Fighter
- Team Fortress 2
- Diablo 2
- Half Life 1/2/etc.
- Monkey Island 1/2
- Speedball 2
- Wing Commander

More than 5 but I find it hard to separate such quality titles.

Game Cube:
Resident Evil 0-1 remakes

Mario Kart
(only four games that I played on this console. I actually bought a GC cheap just to play these games)

PS3:
White Knight Chronicles 2
Demon souls and Dark souls
Atelier Series (starting with Totori up to Escha and Logy)
MGS4 (probably the best final boss fight in gaming history. Perfect game overall, online and off-line)
Anything Naughty Dog

Honorable mentions goes to the PS1 for having so many damn good games that I can't even begin to count them like MGS, Ridge Racer 4, Vanguard Bandits Jade Cocoon, etc. But the games mentioned are the ones that I played till the disc was so scratched I couldn't play them anymore. Good times
