    Get Atma for just auto-attacking.

    Can we address this? About 3 out of 4 Fates I do now days, people would do about 1 or two skill combos then auto attack the rest of the Fate expecting someone around them to pick up the slack. Then they get Gold status and this is basically how Atma farming is now.

    Don't even get me started on Summoner, use one dot, pet attacks Fate boss. Done deal, just wait for your Atma (if it drops).

    Just for kicks I tend to stack on them at least make them dodge the AOE and frontals. I can endure the low drop rates, on my third set of Atma now, can't say that for the majority. As a side effect of the 'gold' formula, I suppose this is the path players are now choosing to take, one of lethargy.

    - Have the drop rates increase slowly for those players who contribute the most progress towards FATE completions. Bonus not reset by teleporting to an Aetheryte in same zone.
    - For levelers, perhaps an increase in XP for those whom contributed most. Fate MVP? Hm

    FATE ratings were ALWAYS like this. Atma just makes it more apparent.

    Ehhhh idk about that. When the game launched I would literally race with my group if there was one to tag as much mobs and damage them to the ground so more would spawn. Everyone was doing this and it was a massive competition for mob tags. Leveling up was the incentive, making sure you got gold on every fate to max exp gain. With that gone I can't blame people for just auto attacking during the atma questline.

    As a scholar I disagree, at times the only way I can ever remotely get gold is dot all mobs that spawn and most die quicker than my cast spells can allow. So I stand there bio everything I can hoping to get it before it dies and heal npcs and people tanking. If I only concentrate on a single mob at a time and not dot like made i get at best a silver but most times a bronze. Because melee kill things to quickly or my bio kills the mob in 3-4 tics. If they changed that system healers will have trouble in a lot of zones to get their gold status/atma. While NM fates I can actually do more things like heal, dot, and cast, so just because it may appear bad, some people have to do somethings just to get gold due to dps burns in atma fate areas.

    Edit also the system is already on a semi contribution level for rankings. If i just healed I may get silver because I didnt aid in killing the monster I just sat there healing. But if I heal and do some damage most of time more than a few % you can get gold. But I digress if they changed the system dont expect atma to get better. Some people are there for 6+ hours and dont care to try super hard but want to beat the rng. So they are so tired and mind numb that they will do bare minimum to get gold. While if you are fresh their you might be pissed, but think that after days of 1 area atma farming you learn to effiecently use your time just to get gold and get pissed when some fresh body wants to pk you for just being worn down by the grind.

    I just want to give my chokobo something to do. Heck, at least he gets XP for these fates. Hit these low level targets once and let him hulk smash. When he's done, I've already targeted the next one and so on. Usually, since I'm a BRD right now, he's in heal mode so I can tank when no one wants to join me on these boss fights. I have three (3) Atma of the Scorpion because I've had to tank my way through fates to get my beast tribe quests done. I watched people run by me like I have the plague, then I got the stone. I guess after I beat Garuda in HM, I'll be ready for another Atma weapon, so these repeat stones (more than one type) will come in handy.

    Yep. Same with me for Scorpion. Having three sitting in my inventory is harrowing cause it just mocks me into hunting down a fifth full set after I'm done with my fourth. ;~;
