Bingo, nailed it.The problem with a lockout per job is that lots of the jobs play similar enough so you would just level a complementary class (WHM -> SCH, PLD -> WAR) and the only difference would be you would clear the content twice with a static group and gear your main that much faster.
As for jumping in and helping others. There are always others able to help out if you can't and you can still give them pointers (which I feel is better in the long run)
Make an alt if you want to continue to do multiple 2nd coil runs in the same week.
Again, counter productive to the armoury system. As for the shared gear. Its time to stop being lazy and make unique pieces for each job. Or just stick to the current system where people only log in once a week...that's cool to I guess.
It has nothing to do with gear being shared. If your in a static that has T6-8 on farm and are pushing T9 with your system of being able to do T6-8 how often you have jobs for you will still be gearing based on your main job till everyone has BiS. Need/Greed doesn't really come into it for a static it doesn't matter if I go in as a BLM if my main in the static is WHM I'll be rolling on healing gear and the other healer would either greed against me or pass if they had it. My group is currently just getting into T8 but if the system was set up the way you suggest we would just farm T6 and T7 since we all have another job we can come as. We would be gearing up based on our "Main" jobs through since it would help us clear T8 faster.
