Agreed.

I created a thread on this in the UI Section (to create a new UI "Cross-Server Friends List") a while back:

Hopefully something like this gets implemented in the future.

It WILL take a lot of work, to be sure, but it's worth it to increase the sense of Community and build friendships (and open up possible Cross-Server Friends Invite to Parties to Raid, etc.).
