Personally, I'd be content with being able to send moogle mail to friends on other servers.

And this is, I think, why we don't have cross-server friends lists. The potential for RMT to abuse this is high. Hack an account/farm millions of gil, mail it to an RMT alt on another server. Makes it easy for them to keep their farming to a 'dump' server.
