I consider CM, Castrum, Coil, CT, and trials are all raid content. Hell even Behemoth and Odin is raid. I think other MMOs have spoiled some players here and are constantly pushing their experiences in other games into this one making this thread into cancer. I take it as it is, and the smaller scale 8 man raid content is just fine. More 12, 16 and 24 man content isn't something i'm that willing to accept with open arms seeing as how much a cluster f*$K CT was and still is. Even Statics have trouble maintaining 8 man weekly coil runs, what more for large scale pro raids.
Late reply, I know.

You'd be wrong then. 4 people is a light party, not a full party. Every single MMO i've played that had what was considered "raid" content, said content was multiple groups. Except, this one of course. More than one group, where the interface for said groups was different than just a standard party, like the Alliance interface we have here. So, I will sit with the OP, what we have, outside of CT, are not Raids. You can argue all you want, disagree all you want, but the precedence has already been made.

Some people have questioned why another company can "decide" what a raid is but SE cannot. Others have said words change through usage and such. Let's go down that road. Raid, prior to MMOs and such, didn't really apply in the sense we use it today. It mean exactly what was laid out in a dictionary. When MMOs first started coming out, and content for groups larger than a standard party/group came out, there was likely a need to classify said content differently from standard content. So one or multiple companies or perhaps player groups, called them "raids". And this stuck, people have called them raids in pretty much every MMO since, unless they were new to the genre.

So then you have games like SWTOR, who called them operations. Which is funny, because everyone I knew that played SWTOR, and wasn't new to MMOs, called them raids anyways. But SWTOR calling them operations is actually ok. They didn't take the term raid, which has a common meaning for MMO players and try to use it to describe something that goes against said meaning. Which is what people are defending SE for doing here.

So, no, i'm sorry, Coil is not a Raid. People might think this is beating a dead horse, but I've played MMOs far too long to just sit by while people bash the OP for posting correct information.
