Just before patch endgame. Please fix it.

People are complaining there is nothing to do just before a patch.

    This is an easy fix.

    For:

    People who clear coil-
Create a fight that has item level sync that drops random rewards such as:
    100k gil per player
    400 myth tomes per player
    225 soli tomes per player
    5 Grade IV cracked materia
etc etc. (its random so the incentive to play it is there and its fun and rewarding.

(One fight per coil release that is level sycned to the top gear obtained from each coil.)
(This ALSO makes the gear from coil more worth while since currently once you get the gear from one coil, and another one is released, boom you can throw all your treasured coil gear away as you replace it with new coil gear. This system at least gives you one whole fight to do with your current coil gear.)

    For people who are completionists-
Make all low level dungeons have a very rare drop such as:
    Sastasha could drop a minion
Tam Tara could drop Glamour gear
Haukke Manor 1% chance final boss drops 100k gil per player.
Stone Vigil 1% chance each mob can drop an Atma
Castrum Meridium 1% chance each mob can drop an Alexandrite

If you want the players to play old content, give us a -FUN- reason to do so.

Almost 'forcing' us to play old content with duty roulette and the Animus books is not really a 'fun' incentive as much as it is forced. I know forced is a strong word, you dont 'have' to do duty roulette or animus but lets be realistic the incentive to do them is there. I think this would be a better way to encourage us.

No one must be complaining about having nothing to do. Thats strange cause thats all i ever hear from my LS's and FC, as well as plenty of posts on the forums. Guess its not really an issue. People just get drunk and say things they dont mean?

Plenty of people complain about not having anything to do primarily because they're too lazy to do the stuff that's available at the moment. SURE you could work on getting your novus weapons for every job; but no one who wants to keep their sanity wants to do that. Having rare drops/bonuses in shorter instances of re-playable content would be a workaround; though that'll just turn into a grind as well.

Same. There are still some 2.2 features I still haven't touched yet...

I like the base idea, but rather than doing mundane things for crazy rewards (like the 100k lottery for Haukke) they should do something crazy hard instead. For example doing T1-T5 in one sitting, on one timer. 20 min (or whatever) per turn, each turn cleared is +20 min to total. Final boss might require more than 20 min so gotta get through some of the turns quick

I do agree vanity stuff (bound/ex) is a good idea- like a minion from every single dungeon. Basically anything non-gear.

However, I think the average player has a lot to do, basically being about 1 patch behind the whole way.

The thing is that you actually have a lot to do. You have gear, weapons, classes... I think that is the most important thing, where you have time to actually improve until the max your atributes. It's horrible when people are always putting new things and you can't improve till the max for a while. That happened on WoW and it was a thing that always bothered me

The problem is not that there is nothing to do, there is always plenty of things to do.

It's more of a combination of being bored of doing the same old content and knowing that said content will soon be irrelevant in some way and therefore the motivation to play decreases the closer you get to a patch.

People feel like they might as well just wait for the next patch to come out where things will be easier/better than continue to play with the rules we have now.

Um do you even sightsee cuz if you don't you should.
    The grind is
    -harder than atma
-consumes a lot of time and gil
    -takes effort
    -need pro parkour jumping skills
-actually makes areas look really scenic
-not a brainless grind that involves fates
-your reward is a minion lol
Imo not much ppl have done it yet as it's too hard and time consuming for little reward?

The reason I haven't done it yet is because I don't really find it fun waiting around in a zone for just the right weather at just the right time.

It's not a brainless FATE grind, but it's not much better because, rather than fighting stuff, you're just sitting around waiting for the exact time and weather conditions to occur (which are entirely out of your control, seeing as they're governed by the RNG). The time it takes to do the sightseeing isn't consumed actually *doing* stuff; it's consumed waiting around for other stuff to happen. I'm seriously curious how exactly you can defend it as "taking effort" seeing as the only effort involved is in learning to traverse weird geometry (which isn't even all that hard; I played SWTOR and did the datacrons loads of times; it's not really difficult once you learn to see the path).
