I just find this a bit weird.

The turn 5 weapon for BLM is one-handed...so you'd think there'd be an equivalent shield. The PLD weapon is one-handed and there's a lv95 shield that drops as well. But BLM never got this? So their weapon stats were always slightly inferior to everyone else's.
