Nope. You're attribute points are shared between classes and their respective jobs. When you switch to a job, basically you're just enhancing its class for party play, so the allotted atribute points are just the same.

Really? I could have sworn that I spent all my ACN points (Level 50), and when I switched to my level 16 THM I had a further 6 Attribute points to spend (which I naturally placed into Intelligence).

By "shared between classes and their respective jobs" he meant that a class and it's job share the same points, so the points spent as ACN are also what you have for SMN and SCH, for instance. THM, as a different class, has it's own set (which will in turn be shared with BLM, once that job is unlocked.)
