I don't know much about how to assist the OP in his question.
I do know that what the average person knows; Chinas censorship issues, gfw, and the like. I also know that the China version of FFXIV ARR is going to be way different than what we have now, for better or for worse.
However, I do know that you can use paypal to also pay for crysta. Altho, I don't know if paypal is accepted in China... I mean, when I order from ebay and they ship from China, they certainly don't mind me paying w/ paypal.
paypal > crysta > ffxiv time. =\

I do agree with Gardes though, I wouldn't want to play on the China servers. There is too much to give up for an already established player.

China version has a different pay style it is not F2P you buy hours to play rather then paying for a month so ideal could last longer if your a casual player if you hardcore prepare to pay with your arms and legs.
