Had someone botting (or boxing) yesterday for sure. Both characters followed each other around like puppies. Did weird things (such as playing TP song until the bard's mana ran out. Which the bard turned on as soon as we entered the boss room even though we didn't engage). Never responded to any chat. Auto attacked half the time (full soldiery drg + animus and as a sch and pld we were contributing more)
We eventually vote kicked them both for afk since... well standing around doing nothing when mobs are present (because the one they had targeted had died and they took an hour to change targets) is definitely considered being afk.
I can't find the info that specifically said that it was 2 days, but that was the amount of time people were suspended for using bots on Turn 8 the first week.
Perma-bans get handed out for RMT related infractions, but players who fall to temptation get a slap on the wrist the first time.
Here's the SE link referencing it.
Oh they were reported, it took a few minutes to see their names though.Hope you reported them as you benefitted from them cheating/hacking/botting/whatever they did:P Without reporting kinda made you an an accomplise. Similar to going into coil and someone hacks/whatever so they are invincible and can kill the boss. Then you roll on the loot, in your case you gained XP from others cheating in your party.
My advice if you see someone cheating/hacking in a dungeon is to report and get outa dodge so you don't get dragged down with them.

I've heard from my FC mates of encountering heal bots, to which I commented "At least it isn't a tank bot, right?" to which they replied with "DON'T GIVE THEM IDEAS!" Of course that was in half-serious jest.
Then I encountered, twice now, tanks (usually Marauders) with unusual behavior. And, so far, Copperbell. The other party members and I would comment and give the tank the benefit of the doubt of not being a bot, assume that they were very new to tanking and offer advise on how to improve their performance. One such example was the Marauder simply wasn't using Overpower. The healer and I suggested they use it, I even said to not be afraid to use it more than once, and if they needed us (referring to myself and the other DPS class) to hold back on attack for a couple of seconds. No response and they continued to progress poorly (and making the healer do more work than necessary). A little fed up, I asked the healer and DPS if they minded if I summoned my topaz carbuncle, they agreed and I ended up having my yellow carbie main tank the dungeon while the Marauder off-tanked. On that one boss where you need the bombs to break up the pudding, the tank kept kiting the pudding around and destroyed the bombs before they could go off. They continued to ignore our tips on how to beat the boss. Eventually the healer, other DPS and myself just stood off to the side and waited for the Marauder to get killed by the boss. After the Marauder was dead, we finished off the boss, the healer rezzed the Marauder and we progressed.
To this day I don't know if it was a bot, or someone using a botting program. So I didn't report it as I didn't know what to think. Sure, we managed to finish the dungeon no thanks to the tank but it left us perplexed and a bit frustrated.
But I suppose that if there is a will to tank-bot, then someone will find a way to tank-bot.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.
Yes, seen this so much. Had one today in Toto-Rak. They kept using shield bash and just concentrated on the one mob. They would occasionally cast Flash when we were running to the next pack. Made no attempt to pull threat from anyone. Was very annoying, eventually just had to Abandon Duty as we couldn't get past the second boss. Tried to interact with them, I even asked if they were human, no response. Not the first time I've experienced this... :P
