Tidal Wave Shield (PLD and WHM) - Item Not Dropping?

Hi All,

Didn't Yoshi P say that to alleviate the problem with Paladins and White Mages needing *2* Mirrors from Leviathan EX, while other Jobs only need 1, that he would compensate by having Leviathan now drop the TIDAL Wave Shield and Tidal Wave Buckler (i100)?

Since the patch, I've seen a bunch of Shields drop and they are always just the "Wave Shield" and "Wave Buckler" (i95). I've never seen the Tidal Wave version or a Mirror still (of course). Is there a bug, or is this working as intended?

How is this an improvement over the RNG and mindless grind from before the patch?

I have seen the PLD Tidal Wave Shield twice just after that patch when they started dropping.
Never saw one again on more than 1 month.

I have never ever seen the WHM Tidal Wave Buckler, nor the Mirrors (of course).
I have farmed Leviathan over 100 times by now.

So I can say that the REAL drop rate of the mirrors is 1% or less, which is absolutely ridiculous.

That isn't how percentages work.

Personally I've seen the WHM 100 shield drop twice since they changed, and the 95 shield once. Seen the PLD 95 shield drop a couple of times, not the 100 though. Seen two mirrors in about 70-80 maybe runs, never a mount though.

Well I guess someone's seen them drop, so possibly "working as intended"? Like Baron, I've gone to Levi EX so many times after patch and have never seen the Tidal Wave version of the shields drop, nor a Mirror or Mount of course. But plenty of the standard "Wave" Shields drop for both PLD and WHM.

Just seems like a weak implementation of a way to supposedly alleviate the problem of PLD and WHM needing 2 Mirrors to upgrade their weapon set.

I've seen whm i100 shield drop a dozen times but have yet to see the pld shield drop. RNG is the only explanation
