Oh I was just reflecting on the past. This was several years ago that this happened. I would hope they have done some class changes in that time lol. I've considered picking it up again but I can only juggle so many MMOs at a time.
Besides the joke there is something to be said for the quote and the image. MMO's go thru a boom and bust cycle that is both regular and semi-random based one what was in the content release prior, how fast it can be burned thru, and how long before the next patch. Fairly major population swings are normal now with how saturated the market is for mmo's. Back in the eq, wow, etc heyday, there weren't quite as many mmo's out there, now we are oversaturated with them. People get all the pixels they want from one, then switch to another till mmo a gets a new patch then they switch back. This is pretty normal now.
You mean back when sorcerer used to have endless force power cause of the lifetap ability and could solo heal end game content? Yeah tbh that was overpowered as hell. And I say that as someone that still plays the game and the sorcerer class even today.
And lets not forget that they took that away from sorcerers and then basically made Operatives/Smugglers OP by giving them endless free heal via procs so that they basically didn't have to spend a ton of energy using their main heals.
Right now though I think Bioware has struck a decent balance with the 2 healing classes and there's no reason to not take 1 over the other.

Quote me just ONE MMORPG developer/producer saying they make a giantic game, with a storyline and a background lore just so people would ignore it all because all what matter is what can be done at top-lvl. I never said it was all about the story and the sentence you quoted shows that. I said a MMRPG are supposed to be about the expereince from lvl 1 to the top lvl, the gameply experience, discovering the world, the lore, the game itself. Enjoying it. Nowadays we have way too many people playing MMRPG that just HATE the genre and play it only because everybody else is doing it.
They can't be doing too badly, OP.
You said back in April that you were suspending your account, yet here you are again. I would also point out the lack of people agreeing with any of your posts.
Also, please don't compare this to SWTOR. I was there for the first year of SWTOR, it's not even close to similar. In the first couple of patches in FFXIV we have gotten stuff that it took over a year for SWTOR to get.
I also played SWTOR and the reasons for the demise of that game are no where near this game.
For me at end game what was bragged about an amazing system (choices) ended up just being different dialogue with the same outcome. My Jedi was as evil as they came that broke every Jedi code, yet Bastila just gave me a slap on the wrist, there was no true consequence for being dark/light in your faction. No depth to worlds, no time change, weather, hell the water was reminiscent of a game from the 90's. Pvp was fun but horribly imbalanced and world pvp was a giant lag fest.
Don't worry, folks. Unless Yoshi-san & C completely drop the ball in the meantime, in a few months, when Warlords of Draenor strikes, this game will fill with disgruntled refugees from WoW. I am one. I have practically tried them all and this game, though all its shortcomings, is the only one which can satisfy an ex-WoW addict. Imho FF14 ARR is the only GOOD WoW clone (with a different flavour of course), and this is meant as praise.![]()
