As the title asks, I wonder,

"would proper in-game message boards or mog letters of a practical length be too much to ask?"

I'm well aware this isn't a pressing issue (probably not even an issue for most), but it seems like such an easy accommodation that could make some things much easier. For example, a FC house message board where a leader could write more than a sentence or two, write hours of availability for raids, crafting, low level member help. Or a roster where FC members might list their retainers so members aren't competing on the market boards. (and don't have to have a bunch of real life lists lying around to keep track of them) Or, mog letters that allow more than 200 characters. I mean, really, sometimes i'd just like to leave a message for a friend who isn't online, and trying to squeeze in all those u, &, 2's, w/e, etc... so that I don't have to send 6 letters to get my message across would be awful nice.
