    Idea for pvp

So, I was thinking... And reading really bad troll threads... One mentioned some pvp stuff... Anyways, my idea.

How about a special zone. The zone could he a big huge area, as big or bigger than coerthas (sp?) and when you zone in, your in a safe zone.. In that safe zone would be 5-10 npc's that offer daily quests. You do these quests and can get pvp marks, or tokens or such and buy pvp gear, special mounts, minions, lots of cool stuff. But here's the kicker. Past the safe zone, it's open pvp. And you can and kill other players and gain marks that way too. Now, the quest rewards would have to ether re a lot of marks, to make it worth going it, or an entirely different point system to buy the special mounts/minions/gear that come soon the open pvp. And to make it easier, and so people couldn't camp the safe zone exit to the pvp area, there would be an npc that could teleport you randomly into the area. You run around, do the quests, gain new tokens/marks, along with wolf marks for original pvp. And you could fight with friends. Enemy's, or what not.
And when you die you just teleport back to the safe zone.

I think this could be an entertaining thing to do.

You could plan ambushes with people on quest zones, there could be groups running around.

Just figured it would be cool, have something different that you don't have to que up for and wait forever, still make some marks and get rewards.

Oh and to balance it, ether only lvl 50s could do it, or you can only fight people within 5 levels of you.

excluding lvl 50s,they can only attack other lvl 50..why? Because i70+ attacking anything lower than a 50 is just death lol.

And to not make the zone feel empty have Monsters fill the zone, but also have ones that are a challenge to solo for ilvl90 players.

    The Quests should range from;

    Defeat X number of Players.

Collect Items from each race of players.

    Kill X number of Monsters.

    Etc.

So you're saying if I have already geared up with PvP gear I can wait until you roll over with your standard gear and gank you as you leave the safe area for easy seals?

You'd have to balance it so people with a higher PvP rank/gear would get crap points from taking down low ranked people. Basically challenge your tier or better to get seals, also PvP is in no way balance for 1 on 1 encounters. Good luck taking down a SMN or Bard on your own, Sleep would also need to be straight up disabled.

If they chose to leave the safe area that way. Like I said, random teleporting npc lol. And yeah... Sleep... That would need to be taken out or something. Resisted after the first time. That way it could be used once. Then no more.

And as for camping the exit, you would have to worry of others are gonna camp it also, who's got a bigger force, a few factors. Lol.

That would be a cool thing for challenge log type deals O= kill 5 hyur.

And maybe each race dropped a seal that you trade 5 or 10 in for a title "x slayer" so like "lala slayer" "hyur hunter" "miqo'te masher" "reogaden (sp?) wrestler" "elezen exploader" lol. Names pending, but hey.

This sounds like "The Wilderness" from my Runescape days. It was a section located at the top of the world map where open PVP was allowed. but there was a level range where you could only attack people X level lower than you and that X value got higher the deeper into the zone you went. When I played the mining spots for the most powerful armor was in the deepest part of the wilderness so you always had danger going mining, either had to bring a friend or 2 to protect you (in a game where there was no actual party system) or run with only your pick since you dropped everything except your 3 most expensive (vendor sell price) items when you were killed. If you attacked someone you lost all your items if you were killed. In addition to the other players hunting each other there were very high level monster in the area as well, so even in off peak times it was dangerous to go in.
