Idea for a new tanking class

With the confirmed addition of a new dps class i think its fitting another class is added, and Imo the best role to be added is a tank.

My idea is a tanking class that uses magic of somekind and relies on buffs, aoe, and cone attacks (similar to a few of the tanking classes in swtor).

So what does everybody think?

I honestly hope they bring back the sentinel class, that got removed in 1.20 I think it was, sure a lot of skills went over too gladiator, but doesn't stop them re working it. To include the ideas you suggest.

Dont need this. It's hard enough being a Paladin already with Warriors around. Dont need a second kind of Warrior.

More dps wont help dutyfinder at all. Another role should be added in order to alleviate the congestion thats gonna occur once rogue drops, because we all know theres gonna be a shit ton of them around.

They could add 2 billion new tank classes and it wouldn't make a difference. The people that like playing a tank play tanks, the people that like dps play dps, the people that like to heal heal. Now I like playing a tank and am all for another tank class of any type, but adding more of any class is not going to noticeably do anything to the duty finder.

eh i suppose youre right, i had just figured that maybe if another class of a different role alongside the ninja it might help to lessen the amount of ninjas running about since thered be more fresh options but idk

There will be a short term 2 week ish rush where there will be a lot of ninja's but after that things will fall back towards normal. Honestly I'm actually saving Warrior to level during that timeframe so not everyone will be rushing to Ninja either.

I would like to see a samurai tank class, but I don't have any novel ideas for differentiating them from other tanks.
