I don't think i'm the one who needs to grow up here.

That being said, players are using this method right now. So disregarding my method due to the potential for abuse is pretty futile given that the current method isn't devoid of the same thing.

To me, this is something a pouting child would do. Sit down right where they stand, cross there arms, and refuse to cooperate. But hey, if that's the best solution in your mind, who am I to stop you. I just hope whomever you are with in the dungeon reports you. You know, if/when you decide to start this.

OK. It's pretty clear that lots of you do not agree with this proposal, which is fair enough, so i'll just put my last thoughts here now for you to ponder and leave it there.

The duty finder is, right now, an open system for the most part. There is a very lenient ilvl requirement for certain content, but that's pretty much it. You can enter a trial without any prior knowledge or experience. That is your freedom do to so in the system that is currently in place. (For the record I believe that the vote kick abuse going on right now is wrong, and that vote-kick should also be removed for the same reason, to ensure the DF is open and fair to all)

In my personal opinion, if you have that freedom to enter a dungeon or trial without knowledge or experience, then I should in turn not be obligated to teach you how to complete said content (although I personally will if it seems like it will help). I also feel I shouldn't be punished for leaving the instance if I feel that, for whatever reason, it isn't going to work. That is, in my personal opinion, a completely open and fair system. No solution comes without problems, but I do believe that no matter what restrictions are put in place, that players will find a way to exploit them. Better to live and let live. That is all! ^ ^

At that point you can drop without penalty. There is no penalty for dropping when the party isn't full. Any other specific times you should be able to drop without penalty?

Except on the trials people don't join in progress, because 90% of the time they come in on a fail party that doesn't even make another attempt.

There's this thing called party finder. You can set up your own little group whatever way you want, and not waste the time of the people in the duty finder.

    We need lockouts.

In fact, they should be stricter. Bigger penalties. People still cheese lockouts sometimes. I know, because my friends have told me they've accidentally managed to do so (since the fix).

A while back I started a thread regarding ROULETTES, with a suggestion that we should each be able to omit one dungeon we hate from the pool. It would reduce the number of people quitting. That got rejected and the defenders of the status quo jumped down my throat.

It seems no solutions to the problems in this game will ever be acceptable to the community.

    Sorry, OP.

well won't be the last time I now see people who are being idiots and just go afk waiting to be kicked to avoid the penalty. So it does breed this kind of attitude so I for one agree with the OP. If someone wants to leave without a penalty most people will just cause these kinds of scenarios.

    Go afk
    Gear broken kick me
FU Noobs kick me or im just gonna go afk(Yes this is an actual example)
Sorry have to go for "insert reason here" but not actually leave the group

There is another side and its nasty we can already kick people for practically anything as SE feels its up to the community so they might as well just remove the penalty. Can't even report these people as SE doesn't want to know GM has told me they won't intervene with these matters even though its blatantly bad manners and detrimental to the game.

You have that much faith in humanity that it doesn't need SE's policing for people to play nice?

No thanks, it is an inconvenience to fewer people with than without it.

look, bottom line kenzie is simple... It was lower before and TONS and I mean TONS of people were trolling the DF. It screws over dps who are trying to do dungeon runs. DPS ques are upwards of 30minutes and LONGER. No thanks on the tank who decides he wants to be a prick.

If you really want to choose who you party with set up a "oneshot only, will kick upon wipe will queue Levi EM to check wins etc etc" party finders DF is in itself a lottery, will you get good players or bad players this time? You seem to want specific types of players here therefore DF is not for you PF is.
