I bet you couldn't name a single one. MMOs change, constantly. Many of those changes are going to be nerfs or inconveniences. Either deal with it or play another genre. Just keep in mind that even the things that were nerfed now will inevitably be adjusted again and again as time goes on in an effort to balance the game.
I have to admit. I was just about ready to call it quits on the game until this patch came out. I haven't played in about 2 or 3 months for various reason, which I'm sure many others share. I was convinced that 1.18 would be "just another fail patch" and that there would be no real progress. However, I'm happy to say that SE, Yoshida, and the Dev. team finally "get it."
I love the challenge we're met with in the new r50 dungeon. The r30 dungeon's difficulty also seems to be OK~ for it's level. I'm happy to see real strategies and teamwork required for progression.
I also took some time today before our dungeon runs to solo Kokoroon Quickfingers a few times on PUG and even that was fun as hell. The auto attack just felt natural, MP management played a big role, it felt like a REAL FF fight. It wasn't just mindless button mashing.
If this is just the beginning of what's to come, I might just stick around for the long haul.
Sure, maybe MP costs are a bit too high (I personally don't think it's that bad,) the AA system seems clunky and hard to get used to, PUG's Light Strike is absolutely useless now, etc, etc. But I'm well aware that this is just the beginning and that things will improve as time goes on. And with those improvements will likely come more nerfs, then more improvements, and more nerfs, and, well you get the picture.
Over all, I think 1.18 is a huge success in terms of reforming the foundation of the game. I can't wait to see what's on the horizon.
