No it doesn't. You can stll have all classes in high alligan gear if you want, you just have to farm more.

You appear to forget that NO ONE will be able to fully BiS ALL jobs while that gear is still relevant. The 'farm more' you speak of is going to be the 'no-lockout on Second Coil' spamming after 2.4 is released. You know, when people are specifically picking which class they want to improve with Third Coil gears, and foregoing the rest. Exactly as Zephyr stated, correctly.

    Edit:
Back to being on topic, I think the de-synth caps are a good thing and do not detract at all from the spirit of the armory system. As far as I understand it, a person can STILL craft everything. You will need to acquire the 'unique' de-synth drops from someone else though. Not a huge deal. If everyone could de-synth every item, we'd go into dungeons where everyone would greed roll every item, because they could de-synth it.

    INB4: But that already happens.
Not as often as doomsayers want us to think. People generally greed for off-spec, seals, and glamour.
My understanding is that CT, Primal, and First Coil gears will all be de-synthable. These aren't redeemable for seals, so you'd compete with people who legitimately have use for the item for it's stats, appearance (people who may loot the item once and be done with it) and people who can de-synth it if it's one of their specialties (people who may Greed lot on that item 100% of the time that it drops). Mastering all de-synths may increase the game experience for the people who have all DoH mastered (including myself) but it would be at the cost of the game experience of people who do not have them all mastered, and are actually seeking items for stats or glamour (also myself).

I didn't forget. No one will do it but in theory, it's possible - and in any case, I doubt that 5ilvl less on a piece of gear will make the same difference that 99 level of desynthesis will make on crafters. Allagan gear is still relevant until you get high alligan, it's hardly outdated. That's not even considering that DoH are all work together, while synergy of DoW/DoM is non existent, apart from 5 cross class skills. So if anything, it should be the other way around.

no it's not difficult. but it is a little time consuming. or if you prefer to buy everything, gil consuming. but leveling is not where it stops. getting the latest and best crafting gear can be difficult. and also quite time consuming. you can't exactly buy your way to the top in crafting.

not entirely true. the current way is fine. being able to level them all up to max. however a mastery system would encourage players to primarily stick with at least 3 crafts only. 3 is a good number. it's less then half of the available crafts.

Once a class is above level 30, it takes up 1 of your 300 points. That part I disagree
with. I am still ok with having to choose 3 only though.
this. i don't mind the limitations. what i mind is that 3 quickly turns in to 2. and if you are using the one at 95%. then 2 quickly turns in to 1. 300 points with each proficiency needing 100 points to be at max level should equal 3. not 2 or 1. the best way SE could remedy this is to simply have the proficiencies unlocked manually by the player.

Now they've done the same for crafters? This is why everyone keeps playing!
This have nothing to do with lockouts, but with reward control (or loot control).
In 1.0 was no lockouts, but how many players who had full darklight during 1.0 on their main had also full darklight on their second jobs?
