The Opening of Ishgard: What are your wishes?

So things are pointing towards the opening of Ishgard as a GC in the 3.0 expansion. While I'm not sure if this has been explicitly confirmed, the recent teaser for 2.3 shows that we may get quests that start setting it up.

Like many of you out there I'm really excited for this. Coerthas is by far my favorite region and I've wanted Ishgard to be my city state since I learned of it around launch. IF 3.0 does facilitate this, what would you guys like to see there?

As an Elezen Dragoon, I'm hoping for a whole heap of DRG related quests to the fight against dragons (main quests) and in the Coerthas region I'd like a lot of dragon FATES and dungeons.

I want to be able to join the militia and rank up like with the other GCs.

I REALLY want to by a house in this region.

Ishgard is choco HQ of Eorzea so I hope that it would introduce full on choco breeding as opposed to the choco raising of 2.3.

The introduction of wyvern mounts.

Its already been hinted that ishgard will be more a battlefield then a city to leisure in. This was in a prelaunch interview, Yoshi said that its still hush hush but not to expect a happy gates opening.

Edit: he did say for sure that it will not be a player city state.

It did say in the paragraph before the dragoon part that Ishgard will have some content that will require way more than 40 characters, and it will hit the players. Making it sound like something crazy is going to happen lol. And after seeing all those knights protecting the archbishop and all knights we have encountered so far in that armor treat us like crap and have no remorse for killing us if we dont leave. That doesnt give me a good filling for 2.0 Ishgard anyways.

Still early for that but I hope it will be the 4th major city state we gonna visit, home to new classes (they hinted more classes are coming with the 3.0 expansion and hinted about a gunner) with its own leader,story and areas to explore.

If Ishgard is ever a city state, I don't think it will be in 3.0. I could see the 3.0+ storyline being about Ishgard eventually BECOMING a city state though. I do wish they would tell us if they are going to add a housing area there. I haven't heard any mention of 3.0 adding any lower level zones/content. They did however say that 3.0 is adding a lot of land, so maybe after all...? I don't think we are going to start getting any real expansion info until October or so.
