What does it matter? Lots of people have similar mounts and one cares. Having a colored pony doesn't suddenly make that person special.

If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.

RNG people is running this country, wake up murika!
The RNG gods mocks everybody.

I like it when people get hyped, make threads with suggestions without really thinking it through, then are countered with valid opinion and never post in their own threads again out of shame.

Not out of shame just not going to argue, some are confusing bad players with players who make mistakes. Master Loot may be a stretch, but if you're dead consistently for more than 50% of the fight or just not following clearly written strats, barely stumbling through you really shouldn't be walking out with loot, especially the ones that have a very low drop rate or have a lockout for the week upon completion. And the ones who are actually trying must run it again for x100 or wait the following week hoping for their drop

So you see someone in your group die all the time, maybe he only dies in this one group all the time because the tank can't hold agro?
So if someone dies because someone else messes up all the time, the one dead should be punished?
Who are YOU to decide who deserves something more?
Master Looter exists in WoW, since the beginning if I remember right for raids. And boy that stuff caused so much drama. And not sweet drama, annoying drama. And belief me when I tell you, Ilidians Glaives were far more a rare drop than anything in coil or anywhere else can be. (I still hate this guy that gave his gf the glaive instead of me, and everyone else in the group disagreed with that and their Guild broke apart over it... yes we really do want this in FFXIV)
My FC mates and I have been joking about this for months, asking each other how many "strategic" deaths will it take to get the loot we're looking for? But in all seriousness, this is just confirmation bias, nothing more.
It's amazing to me how many players can't accept a random number generator is, for all practical purposes, random.
The game doesn't bias drops based on who has cleared it before, it doesn't bias drops based on how anyone performed. Each chest/mob has a loot table. The loot table will have 'slots' for gear to appear in. Each piece of loot in each slot has a certain % chance of occurring. Only one item can occur per slot.
Now SE may mess up the percentages of the loot table (pre 2.1 dragoon gear had a higher incidence rate than most other gear in turns 1 and 2) but that would still be stable across all parties. Primals etc have effectively even distribution of gear.

I'm gonna die when I see loot i want, maybe I'll win it.
